“Don’t confuse activity with achievement.”

- John Wooden

Busywork is one of the most insidious and disruptive forces in the workplace today. Our belief is that if you’re not advancing the mission, you’re falling behind. We create clear plans to achieve specific goals and take great pride in executing those plans.

“Make no little plans, they have no magic to stir men’s blood.”

- Daniel Burnham

Perhaps the single greatest unifier within the SOF community is the desire for greatness. By seeking to achieve the extraordinary we become something other than ordinary. Best practice is not a benchmark, but a starting point. We set our sights higher.

“Almost no one ever achieved anything worthwhile without help.”

- Richard Branson

Part of the SOF culture we adopted is the power of the debrief. We constantly ask ourselves, “What are we doing well? What could we be doing better?” In the field these questions save lives. At THF they help us get better at improving our offering every day.

If you’ve met one Special Operator, you’ve met none. Each one seeks to achieve excellence, maximizing their unique skills and capabilities. They are artists in what they do. We seek the same from everyone at THF, and everyone who works with us.

“Feedback is the breakfast of champions.”

- Ken Blanchard

Within the SOF community feedback is viewed as a precious commodity. It is given with great thought and purpose, and received with genuine appreciation and intent. When both parties give feedback the respect it deserves it becomes a powerful tool for growth and improvement.

“Life is either a great adventure or nothing.”

- Hellen Keller

The first step towards greatness is being physically and mentally prepared for it. The second is to have fun chasing it down! Our work energizes us. We enjoy the thrill of facing challenges that are new and different every day. We know how to enjoy ourselves and take great pride in the work we do and the difference it makes.
