SAN DIEGO, CALIF. – (Nov. 9, 2016)Envision Solar International, Inc., (OTCQB: EVSI) (“Envision Solar,” or the “Company”), the leading renewable energy, media and branding and EV charging product company, on-boards former SEAL, James Byrne to lead the sales and business development team. Mr. Byrne was recruited with the help of The Honor Foundation which provides executive education, professional development, career coaching, and transition management to US Special Operations Forces.

In his new role, Mr. Byrne will be responsible for continuing the growth and oversight of Envision’s sales and business development team and evolving national and international sales and partnering strategies for Envision’s unique and highly valuable product offerings.

Mr. Byrne brings over 26 years of Special Operations experience building, training and leading cross-functional teams of teams to solve the nation’s most complex problems in the most unforgivable environments.  While on Active Duty as a member of SEAL Team One and Special Reconnaissance Team One (SRT-1) he completed 13 overseas deployments including two to Iraq and five to Afghanistan.  Most recently he served as the Clandestine Operations Officer (N3X) for (SRT-1).  He was adept at working across internal and external organizational cultures connecting strategic vision with tactical and operational capability in support of national security objectives.  His ability to build innovative high performing teams capable of proactively responding to client’s needs in the mist of ambiguity and uncertainty in highly complex operating environments has uniquely prepared him for success with Envision.  His teams and programs remain in place to this day helping to prepare a new generation of Special Operations soldiers for future conflict resolution.  Additionally, Jim is pursuing a Master of Science in Executive Leadership (MSEL) at the University of San Diego using the Post 9/11 GI Bill.
